Congratulations to Madison Zantello,
Miss Washington's Teen 2022!

MEET MADISON
On August 14, 2022, Madison Zantello accepted the title of Miss Washington's Teen 2022, after Morgan Greco was crowned Miss America's Teen in Dallas, TX!
Madison has been a very busy young lady this year through her community service, academic and music endeavors. In June, she graduated with honors from both Bonney Lake High School and Pierce College, earning her AA degree through the Running Start program.
Madison proudly participated in an eight month internship with the Seattle Opera Teen Vocal Studio; she won both the soprano and alto categories for the Washington Music Educators Association ((WMEA) regional Solo and Ensemble competition, and in April, went on to win the soprano category at the state WMEA championships.
Maddy was selected as one of 125 vocalists for the American Choral Director’s Association Regional Women’s honor choir as well as being awarded the Agnes Berge Smith Music Scholarship for Voice which is among the most prestigious awards for incoming students at Pacific Lutheran University, where she will begin attending this fall as a vocal performance major.
Madison’s social impact initiative is Choose Kindness First, reminding us all to think before we act, and that being kind to ourselves and to one another is a choice, especially during times of challenge. With a simple shift in our thinking, the growth mindset to Choose Kindness First, before all else can bring the much needed healing we all need, unite a community, and maybe even the world.
Inspired by her grandmother who has dementia, Madison is especially proud of the community service project she created in November 2020, Sunshine for Seniors. She has partnered with schools, businesses, churches, and community members to provide cards, blankets, candy, hugs, laughter, smiles, and even performs mini concerts for the elderly in assisted living and memory care facilities. Madison says that “service” is her most favorite point of the crown and she is so excited for her year and the many adventures to come!
